I completed my Bachelor and Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology in Sao Paulo, Brazil and for over 25 years I have been practicing in a variety of settings, supporting people of all ages and identity backgrounds.
I have been living in Australia since 2015, working as a Counsellor and holding full membership with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).
Psychotherapy is a collaborative treatment approach that focuses on the relationship between an individual and a psychotherapist. It is grounded in dialogue, fostering a safe environment where one can freely express themselves without fear of judgment or prejudice. Together, you and your therapist will identify and address negative thought processes and behaviors, aiming to resolve the root problems affecting your overall well-being.
In my practice I offer a non-judgmental, safe and confidential space to talk through issues affecting your quality of life and relationships.

Despite Psychtherapy benefits, many people struggle to seek professional help. Stigmas surrounding receiving mental health support can cause individuals to avoid treatment out of shame or misinformation. Many people believe you must have a mental illness to seek therapy. However, therapy is for everyone, and it can help you change your thinking patterns, unhelpful thoughts or behaviours and improve your coping skills.
Establishing a strong and trusting bond with your therapist involves sharing deeply personal issues. It's crucial that we are compatible and that you feel comfortable during our sessions. To ascertain if we're a suitable match, I recommend starting with an initial one-hour session. This will allow you to evaluate if I am the right therapist for you. It's common not to immediately connect with a therapist. A professional therapist recognizes the various dynamics in the client/therapist relationship and will not take offense if you choose to discontinue. They may even offer unexpected support. It's perfectly fine to continue your search until you find a therapist who can join you on your path - someone you can trust and feel confident with.
I extend a warm welcome to all LGBTIQA+ community members seeking self-exploration and discovery. My practice is grounded in trauma-informed care, queer affirmation, spirituality, and a commitment to social justice. I am cognizant of the psychological challenges that arise from systemic oppression and am dedicated to assisting you in your journey of healing and transformation.
I offer personalized, one-on-one short-term counselling sessions for adults at $150 per session.
To utilize counselling services under the NDIS, your plan must include the 'Improved Daily Living' item. This item grants you access to funds for your counselling sessions.
